INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of kinesio taping method on muscle fatigue of knee joint by applying kinesio taping using MedX and EMG.
METHOD: Subjects twenty Y-college judo athletes (male:10, female:10) were selected randomly. Analysis of median frequency muscular fatigue according to articulation genus extensor was made before and after kinesio taping.
RESULT: In male, although there was no statistical differences, decrease in me-dian frequency at the 6¢ª angle and increase in the 60¢ª and 90¢ª angle were shown. In female, there was a slight decrease in median frequency in the 6¢ª and 60¢ª angles(p<.05) but rather an increase in the 96¢ª angle. In male, although there was no stat-istical differences, there was a decrease in mean frequency at the 6¢ª and 96¢ª angle, but rather an increase in the mean fre-quency of the 6¢ª and 96¢ª angle in analysis of mean frequency muscular fatigue. In female, there was a slight decrease in mean frequency in the 6¢ª and 60¢ª angles but no statistical difference.
CONCLUSION: Although there were slight differences for muscular fatigue of mean frequency between pre- & post-kinesio taping, significant differences was not indicated at all angles for both gender.
